The "All In for Veterans" ride is a fundraiser to support AllenForce. We aim to foster a successful transition for veterans of all eras and their families through health, fitness, and recreation. In our 8 years of service as a 501c3, we have provided services for more than 2000 veterans and their families in more than 8 counties in the state of Illinois! For our fundraiser this year, for the safety of ALL during this uncertain time, we are conducting a ride focused on veteran points of interest in our Land Nav outline- ride at your own pace on your own time - we at AllenForce manage it "virtually" behind the scenes.
Land Nav? Virtual? How does that work?
Good question. No, put your computer away, it's not via Zoom - you actually go out and go "VROOOM!" What we are saying is you still ride, just not in a large event setting. Riders photographically document their adventures over the course of one month from Aug. 21 to Sept 20 and send the pics to us via email.
After you register, we will mail your Rider Welcome Packet: Points of Interest information, AllenForce swag and most importantly-a rider card to you. Ride at your own pace along your own routes. We will provide a list of locations selected for specific reasons as related to AllenForce and Veteran culture. These locations will be worth specified points. Once you arrive at the location, take a photo with your rider card and email it to AllenForce. During the ride timeline, our scorer will tally points and post to our event website for your viewing pleasure.
How do I earn points?
Each location is worth a number of points (as explained on the "All In Points Sheet"). This number will be added to your points as you submit photo proof of attending that location-the photos will only count when taken during the ride dates. A bonus point will be awarded if you have an AllenForce shirt or hat in the photo.
The Points of Interest list (provided below) provides locations, addresses, point values, and subject IDs. After you arrive at the location, get out your rider card and pose. Email your photo with an easy to read, clear rider number at the location between the dates of Aug 21 and Sept 20 to aifv@allenforce.org. For ease of clarification, please use the following subject line:
RC #(rider card number), POI #(point of interest number) (subject id)
For example, if my ride card is #101 and I went to the American Legion Marne Post 13 in Plainfield, I would email my photo with the following:
Email To: aifv@allenforce.org
Subject To: RC#101, POI #2, MARNE

Bad Photo |
Example of a good photo with clearly visible rider card and location marker. This location is worth 50 points. Given the AllenForce shirt, this rider would receive full points plus 1 for a total of 51. | This photo does not clearly display the FULL rider card number nor does it clearly show the location marker. Because of this, it will receive 0 points. |
What do these locations mean to AllenForce Culture?
These locations are either places that have shown great support to AllenForce in the past or honor our veterans of all eras and their families. While they may not all have a direct tie to AllenForce, they all support veterans. The farthest 4 compass points of the locations are indicative of the breadth of service area of AllenForce. We serve veterans from all these counties (and in between) in the Chicago area!
What do I get with these points?
Bragging rights aren’t enough?! We will send our top 3 participants prizes.
What does registration cover exactly?
Registration provides support for veterans and their loved ones through AllenForce programs. Your registration packet will include a numbered rider card, a lanyard, list of the points of interest and their point values, a 3” x 3” “All In” patch, and anything else our sponsors wish to provide.
I'd like to help fundraise (via social media, email, etc). How can I?
Thank you for asking. In addition to the ride, we are also accepting donations and hosting a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. https://allenforce.networkforgood.com/projects/105269-all-in-for-veterans
If you start a branch in our peer to peer fundraiser, you can earn points by recruiting donors. We encourage you to visit Veteran Memorials in your area. Spread the word about them, as well, wherever you can.
I don’t ride.
That is okay. We welcome all vehicles: 2, 3 or 4 wheeled. Heck, 6 wheeled and unicycles and tractors can join, too. Just be sure it is legal to drive on the route you are using.
How do I register?
Head over to http://www.allenforce.org/aifv and click on the Ride It! Link. Fill out the form, pay the registration fee and watch the mail after August 15 for your registration packet. Thank you for supporting veterans!
Are there other ways to earn points?
Absolutely! Earn bonus points by wearing AllenForce shirts or hats in your photos, run a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, watch for our spontaneous point shout outs, and/or visit one of our bonus locations!! (if you need a shirt/hat, text us, for size and delivery (847)372-1092, cost is $20. Ride shirts from previous years count!)
Spontaneous point shout outs-whaaaat?
Yes! We will spontaneously post situations or locations that are eligible for bonus points throughout the campaign. These posts will be through our facebook page, but will also be added to the point list after they are announced. These bonus points will only be eligible that day. Make sure your electronic alerts are active!
Can you provide an example of a spontaneous point shout out? I’m still not sure I understand.
But of course. Here is an example of a spontaneous point shout out:
July 23
Good morning fellow riders! I woke up to my dog playing with a squeaky toy this morning and decided to share the love. Between now and tomorrow morning, submit a photo with a squeaky toy for 10 bonus points. I’d also love to see your pet ;) (your rider card MUST BE clear and visible in the photo for points to count!)
Subject Line: RC# (rider card number), Bonus Points Squeaky Toy
Email to: AIFV@allenforce.org
Can we use a group photo for multiple rider card numbers?
As long as each rider card is clearly visible and submitted separately, sure can. We would love for you all to gather carefully with your ride family to safely enjoy the ride destinations for this event!
I have other questions
No problem. Call us at 779-205-3314 (leave a message) or e-mail donna@allenforce.org.

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring our All In for Veterans Charity Ride. This year AllenForce has strived to maintain the safety of our veterans, their families and our staff and volunteers. We have been able to overcome challenges and adapt our programs for a virtual platform--including our annual charity ride! While we may not be together in person, we will be together in spirit through our social media campaign.
We are asking you to help support our veterans through AllenForce. We foster successful transitions for veterans and their families through health, fitness, and recreation. Your support enables us to continue services throughout the 8 Chicagoland counties. We shall continue to adapt with these times and provide much needed support for our veteran community. With your support, we can add to our current family of ~2100 veterans and loved ones served. Our virtual platform has expanded not only our reach, but our services available. This next year we are focusing on setting up a battle buddy program, developing financial literacy workshops for veterans and their families, and hosting our own virtual Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies program. This event goes a long way towards supporting our efforts and sustaining our ability to provide quality service our veterans deserve.
Are you "All In"?
